Not to be confused with the NewsBank Inc. in the United States, the Newsbank is a project initiated by Chosen Ilbo. As of September 2009, eighteen news agencies in South Korea have contributed over 1.7 images to the Newsbank Image database. Chosen Ilbo is the largest contributor (463 thousand images).
