Based on the collections held at Lafayette College Libraries in Pennsylvania, this resource “is an open-access archive of digitized photographs, negatives, postcards, and slides of colonial Taiwan (1900-1945) and occupied Japan (1947-52)” (Lafayette College Libraries). It consists of the following sub-collections – Gerald & Rella Warner collections of postcards, negatives, and slides, Michael Lewis collection of postcards, and Colonial Pictorial Works (two albums).
In addition, the Lin Chia-feng (林佳楓) Family Postcard Collection is in the process of being added. A integrated search engine is provided.
The link and description was updated on April 30, 2010, based on Dr. Paul D. Barclay‘s message to H-Asia (dated 4/29/10) and the resource website.
