Catalog Navigating System of Chinese Rare Books 中國古籍善本書目聯合導航系統.
Thanks to Stephen Qiao (U. Toronto) for recommending this resource, even though it seems to be still in the testing period. Developed jointly by the National Library of China and Peking University, this database has brief records of about 30,000 Chinese books printed before 1911 (including some manuscripts). Users can search by title or author or browse by subjects, period, or the location of holding libraries. The links to the websites of the holding libraries are also provided. Stephen also observed that the web address may change from time to time.
